Calder Canoe Centre was set up in 2000 to provide reasonable cost, high quality coaching courses for East Lancashire canoeists. Since then our reputation has grown and we now have coaches travelling from as far as British Columbia to take part in BCU coach education courses. Most of the courses are held at Clitheroe Canoe Club's premises, a purpose built sheltered water site with superb classroom and changing facilities as well as a full range of recreational and specialist boats. All courses are professionally delivered using state of the art technology including LCD projectors, video equipment etc.
As well as the usual BCU and UKCC coach education courses we can provide a wide range of specialist couses such as star test training and assessments, Outdoor first aid, River leadership.
